Five men have men caught by police after they were involved in burglaries all over Suffolk, including some in Debenham, worth more than £335,000. The police were able to track the gang down after they left DNA evidence in the form of half eaten food, drinks cans and an apple in one of the cars they abandoned. The police set up a fake second hand shop where the gang tried to sell some of the goods they stole. The men stole cars, computers and laptops, often while the home-owners were asleep upstairs. The five men were charged with conspiracy to steal and commit burglary and pleaded guilty, while another group of men have pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods.
